Hemostat
Originally designed as a surgical instrument, hemostats have many uses in sewing and crafts. They can be used to grab sewing machine threads and are invaluable for hanging on to the loose end of a thread while you work.
To use, simply push the handles apart, place the grippers around the thread to be held, then pull the handles back together to lock the grippers in place. The hemostat will remain attached and keep the thread from pulling loose while you move the piece around.
When stringing beads, you can attach a hemostat to one end of the string to keep the beads from coming off while you work.
Approximately 5" long.
